Dave Parton

Director of the Preserve Dave Parton holds a PhD in clinical child psychology from Duke University. His teaching and research were devoted to the socialization of children and social psychology. Dave is an artist in wood, a sailor and devoted to the development of the preserve as an educational sanctuary.


Florence Pritchard

Florence Pritchard, Coordinator of Program Development has worked extensively with school systems in curriculum and instructional design and teacher education. She holds a PhD in administration, curriculum and instruction from the University of Maryland and is the author of a text for teachers on implementing and assessing service-learning.


Marge Gonzalez

Marge Gonzalez serves as Chair of Nature Education and has completed the Master Naturalist program at the University of Florida. She received her PhD in Comparative Literature from Emory University and uses her deep understanding of t the art of story telling to enliven her Earth Wonders curriculum.


Don Ehat

Chair of Volunteer Training Don Ehat has a life-long interest in learning and change. He holds the EdD degree in Adult Education and Higher Education from Boston University and has worked with both non-profit and business groups seeking strategies for organizational change. Don is an enthusiastic camper and canoer.


Millisa Bell

Naturalist and Nature Educator Millisa Bell is a graduate of the Florida Gulf Coast Environmental Studies Program. She brings experience in environmental interpretation, environmental education, and public land management to her work in the preserve and is an accomplished drummer and player of native flutes.
