The VIC-20 was introduced in 1980 as a inexpensive computer for people to start on. It used the 6502 microprocessor and included 5K of RAM. The system was designed to attach to a television. Programs could be stored on a cassette tape. Commodore later replaced the VIC-20 with the Commodore 64.
