DESCRIPTION: The program concentrates on developing standard computer aided design and drafting skills related to engineering, mechanical, architectural and presentation fields. The content prepares individuals to perform computer aided procedures such as flat drawings, 3-D modeling, animation and detailing while focusing on employability skills to insure long term, quality work habits.
LENGTH: Three (3) semesters, 1350 clock hours, 270 school days.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: High School students must be at least 16 years of age, in grades 10-12, and must meet the minimum standards on the admission tests. Adults must be at least 18 years of age and meet the minimum standards on the admission tests.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: 10 high density disks, pencils, and architect scale.
EMPLOYMENT OUTLOOK: Local, state, and national VERY GOOD.
