Field Trip
The Basic Electronics class took part in an outing to the American Power
Company in the month April. They had opportunities to discuss job opportunities
as well as witness serge converters in operations.
Basic Electronics has given Joseph King the opportunity to do more than partake
in field trips. It has given him the a chance to meet many friends within the last
year. He also finds his teacher to be helpful and the education to be very good.

Ambition
Lance Lordly a student at Lee County High Tech Center North was previously
enlisted in the military as a . He was also employed at Lee County
High Tech Center North in the electronics department. He is now currently
enrolled in the Basic Electronics class to attain certificates and credits toward a
masters degree in electronics.

Fundriser
Mr. Gent's Electronic Technology Class had been going from class to class befoe
lunck selling "World's Finest" chocolate bars. The chocolate is being sold in order
to rasie money for electronic equipment and parts needed by the students. The
students hoped in about a twelve hundred dollars for this fund rasier. The
Electronics Technology Class was able to raise . They have since
purchased microchips, harddrive controllers, and a harddive.

Problem Solvers
The Student Forum allow Lee County High Tech Center North's student body to
have a voice through a representative in each class. Students may voice their
opinions through their representative about problems concerning the school, their
class, the caferteria, trash, and the parking lot. The goal of the forum is to have
the school function better.
The Student Forum took part in a school wide garage sale that was open to the
community. The forum was also able to raise money to purchase for picnic tables
placed outside the school.
Culinary & Commerical Foods

Success
The Culinary & Commerical Foods class has gone on various field trips, all very
exciting. One such outing was to a fish farm in Charolete County. The class also
attended the VICA food competion as well as a on Loften Island in
the Caloosa Hatchee River. Where the class worked as team to prepare meals
without pot or pans.
The class as a whole worked to prepare the BUSINESS P.M. DINNER. The
dinner was a huge success. Approximately 1000 people in the business community
were server.
Some students in the class have received special recognition for thier
accomplishments and have been awarded. Lorrin Cutter speaks for the class in
saying that,"this is a great school and that the administrators and staff are excellent
leaders and caring people. We all have enjoyed being hear. I personally have
learned alot being here and feel very confident about the new abilities I have gained
having taken this course."
Chef Jack Elias is concidered by his students to be the best chef, instructor, friend,
and father figure a student could have. He has spent many years in the food and
beverage industry where he has gained his experience which he shares with his
students.

Events
The CADD class is in partnership with HABITAT FOR HUMANITY which has
completed its 100th house in Lee County this year. The class works with other
groups such as Starland Community Playground, Cape Odyssey-Beautification
Committee, Nelson Air Craft Corporation Project, Roger Custer Project, and T.
L.C. Project.
Student Jeff Bozic was a 1995 regional winner in the VICA (Vocational Industrial
Club Of America) contest in which the class has had two winners last year. A
student has been quaoted as saying, "It's great fun to be on the cutting-edge of
technology and part of the CADD tech family."
