DESCRIPTION: Learn computers and office technology software, along with other professional skills, such as business communications, machine transcription, data entry, filing, personal job search, and effective resume development. Students will train to become administrative assistants, software applications clerks, documents clerks, word processing operators, information processor operators, or insurance policy processors.
LENGTH: The course is two semesters long. Professional business attire is required.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Adults and High School students ( grades 10-12) must be at least 16 years old, type 10 words per minute on a five minute timed writing, and meet minimum standards on the admission tests.
EMPLOYMENT OUTLOOK: Shows many job openings existing for persons with good work processing skills. Businesses in the fields of finance, insurance, real estate and medicine are looking for qualified people.
