Coop Program

Jiahanna is enrolled as a Legal Secretary Student and is taking part in the coop

program. As a coop student she gets school credit and a salary while working for

James R. Long, Attorney at Law. Jiahanna states "The school projects a nice

professional, friendly image. Ms. Blalock, the legal secretary instructor, has a very patient, friendly, motherly, and professional attitude with her students. Ms.

Blalock has 27 years experience in her field."

Event

An invitation was extended to Ms. Blalock's students to attend an event sponsored

by the LEE COUNTY LEGAL SECRETARIES ASSOCIATION.

Three students attended one of their monthly meetings held at Caloosa Yacht and

Racquet Club. The guest speaker for the night was Vicki L. Sproat, an attorney

with HendersonFranklinStarnes & Holt PA. She spoke of "Raising a Family and

Having a Career in the 90s." Information was also offered regarding NALS

LEGAL SECRETARY TRAINING COURSE and the ACCREDITED LEGAL

SECRETARY EXAM. The evening was a success. The students who attended

extend their gratitude to the LEE COUNTY LEGAL SECRETARIES

ASSOCIATION for allowing them to meet their members as well as share their

experiences as Legal Secretaries.
