The medical secretaries participated in the Canned Food Drive for the Salvation Army and won a trophy for most collections and best spirit for a secondary school. The medical secretaries also sponsored a food and gift drive for needy families in 1994.

The medical secretary teacher Jeanice Hubbard thinks highly of her students, as is evident in her statement,"My students always seem to want to do what's needed to help people. They are very good at organizing and following through on projects." Her students feel the same about her as well. Jean Barnhart stated that, "Mrs. Hubbard is a fantastic teacher, and a very good sport."
