The Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers has its roots in a Unitarian Fellowship established in the mid-1950's. The church has grown to be a beacon of free religious faith in Lee County and the largest Unitarian Universalist congregation in Florida.
Its membership is a community of seekers, exploring a wide range of religious and philosophical paths. In our Fort Myers society, we offer the freedom to reject, discover and evolve. All are invited to explore their own religious past while reformulating their own personal spiritual future.
Each of the more than 1100 Unitarian Universalist congregations worldwide is democratic in its policy and operation. The Fort Myers congregation seeks to provide a warm, open and supportive community for people who believe that ethical living is the supreme witness of religion.
Each Unitarian Universalist congregation is unique in its spiritual beliefs, while acknowledging the universal truths taught by the great thinkers and teachers throughout time.
Coffee Hour, which follows the service each week, is a time for socializing and for meeting new friends and reconnecting with the old.
Our church school encourages each child to be a caring and questioning individual.
Our church school encourages each child to develop a feeling of self-worth, an appreciation of the worth of others, and an awareness of the world around them.
Supervised care for infants and children under three is also provided.
Those wishing to join are welcomed by the minister and congregation in an informal service and are invited to sign the membership book.
