A CyberView of Our Church

The Centerpiece

The striking centerpiece at the front of the church is a four-foot circle of birch behind a chalice of white ash stained to a light oak finish, with interlocking rings of walnut 40 inches in diameter, and a flame of beautiful reddish orange padauk, a wood native to Northeast Africa. Each of the wood pieces in the church has a unique origin, and together they become an ecumenical family tree of sorts, linking us silently with our fellow beings around the world.
