What's your perception of the upcoming Year 2000 crisis? Is it being overstated or understated?
My guess is that it will cost businesses a lot of money and drive many of them to move to more modern systems; but I also think that the vast majority of computer systems will end up being fixed and working just fine, not losing any data. There undoubtedly will be a problem or two, and I expect that will get a lot of news coverage when the time comes. But overall, I have a lot of faith that the huge global disasters that many people are predicting won't happen. . . .
