If the court system survives y2k, which I doubt, the legal system will not. The lawyers are going to have a field day with y2k lawsuits. There will be so many failures and so much money at stake that the courts will jam up.
This new site monitors the whole scene. The lawsuits have begun, 19 months before y2k hits in full force. It's a handful now; it won't be in 2000 -- if the courts are still functioning.
Without tax money, they'll have problems operating. Without banks, there will be problems collecting taxes.
