This is a matter of survival. But the fact remains that virtually no large firms are compliant. It's still a risk. It's still a long row of dominoes.

Six months ago, "bland letters" circulated in the European business community citing that a company was addressing the 2000 problem within its IT infrastructure. "Now it is likely to be a 20-page questionnaire asking for a detailed assessment of compliance," Jones said.
