Congressman Stephen Horn released this survey of how far along the Federal Government was, as of late July, 1996. His answer: it had just barely begun. He refers to the 358 million lines of code in the Department of Defense.
Horn (Ph.D.) and Moynihan (Ph.D.) are the two most prominent representatives in Congress who have spoken out on the y2k issue. Their colleagues have not taken them seriously enough.
By now, it's too late to fix it. You had better take personal action to evade the falling dominoes.
