Resting on three Tufo hills, Siena is the example of what the modern city has slowly lost: its heart. The famous "Piazza del Campo" with its Town Hall is not only a spectacular example of art and architecture, but is still today and square of public events and representative of the link between the authorities and the people. All its medieval streets lined with local handicraft shops either lead to the square or to the magnificent cathedral.
