"Khon"

Khon was a grizzly bear in the "Gentle Ben" movie that was produced in the mid 60's. After the movie was finished, the bears were kept in very tiny cages. Khon has all his teeth and claws, but his room-mate, Tootsie-Roll, had her front teeth and claws removed. These bears were neglected and kept in cages so small they could hardly turn around. They were laying in their own feces. The Fish & Game confiscated them in 1978 and brought them to Octagon, where they are in happy retirement.
Bears are omnivores and will eat almost anything from fruits and vegetables to raw and cooked meat. They are excellent swimmers and like their "bear pools".
