Resident Youths Compete in Essay Contest

Three Fort Myers Housing Authority resident youths will be attending the "preventing Crime In The Black Community" conference on June 2 - June 5th in Orlando.  They were the winners of the "How Can I Prevent Crime In My Community Essay Contest".

Antoinette Sanders, Evelyn White, and Terrell Sanders will be hosted by the Fort Myers Housing Authority to attend the conference with Resident Initiative Coordinator Anita Walker.  While in Orlando the three will be treated to a day at the Wet and Wild Water Park.

We want to thank all of the residents who participated in the contest.  Your contribution and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated.  The three essays can be viewed on our website in the fall and will be featured in our  Fall Newsletter.  Once again, congratulations to Antoinette, Evelyn and Terrell!
