Angela
Wheeler Edison, has been hired to fill the newly created position of
Director of Housing Management. Ms. Edison will oversee the management of all the Fort
Myers Housing Authority developments. She is tasked with ensuring that proper management
services are being provided at each development and to expand our management services to
non-traditional public housing developments. "I am looking forward to really focusing
on the big picture of what we do and what we are here for. I like working with a
team that understands people matter and what we are doing is providing them with the
resources to enhance their quality of life. I see my job to include that we also provide
our residents with a superior customer service." commented Ms. Edison. Ms.
Edison a native of Illinois, arrived in Florida by way of Dallas, Texas. Her career in
property management started sixteen years ago. Prior to coming on to the FMHA team, Ms.
Edison worked with Services Taylor Made Inc. where she oversaw 700 units as the Property
Regional Supervisor. In addition to her supervisory role, she also was responsible for the
training and coordination of all regulatory requirements for the properties and staff.
Ms. Edison is a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), Certified Occupancy Specialist,
Certified Maintenance Manager, Accredited Resident Manager, has completed Real Estate
Sales Course, and has had Low Income Housing/Tax Credit training. She is married and has
one daughter and two stepdaughters and two stepsons. She loves sports, reading and
traveling. We look forward to having Ms. Edison on our team and using her
expertise to continue to improve the services we provide our residents |

Mr.
Tommy L. Rayfield joined the Fort Myers Housing Authority last January
as Director of Finance. Mr. Rayfield holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He
relocated to Fort Myers from Alexander City, Alabama where he was an accountant with Scott
Accounting and Computer Services, Inc. Mr. Rayfield was responsible for reconciliation of
financial statements and budgets for various housing authorities. He provided budget and
general ledger training to customers and provided software support for SACS Custom
Software for Public Housing. Since Mr. Rayfields arrival at the Fort Myers
Housing Authority we have been able to completely transfer our accounting systems to a
more efficient and effective software program as requested by HUD. Employees have been
trained and are efficiently and effectively accessing information as required and needed.
Mr. Rayfield has completed his first financial review with HUD and has improved our PHMAP
scores in finance from a C to an A. Mr. Rayfield is married to Michelle and has a
son Christopher who is four years old. |

Dr. Forest Wortham
has joined the Fort Myers Housing Authority as Director of Special Projects. Previously,
Dr. Wortham worked at Penn State and Florida Gulf Coast University in Student Services.
Dr. Wortham has been actively involved in helping adults and teenagers to identify and
develop their careers and job skills. Throughout Dr. Worthams career he has been
extremely active in preparing, coordinating and implementing self-sufficiency and
educational programs. Because of this experience the FMHA has asked Dr. Wortham to develop
and implement a resident self-sufficiency program. This program is being designed to
assist residents with the challenges of employment, self-sufficiency and self awareness.
Dr. Wortham holds a doctorate degree in Adult Education from Penn State University.
He has prepared and delivered several presentations relating to employment and
self-sufficiency for not only academia purposes but for also private, public and
non-profit organizations. An example of some of his more recent programs are, Finding and
Keeping a Job, a program for the Salvation Army in Fort Myers and Conflict Resolution, a
program for Estero High School at the request of the School District of Lee County. Dr.
Wortham is married to Laurie and has one child. When not working he enjoys writing and
golfing. Dr. Wortham's experience and education will greatly benefit the residents
of public housing. He is part of the Resident initiative office and can be contacted at
