JANE WOJECKI Jane Wojecki lives in Bossier City, Louisiana, working in staff development for Caddo Parish School System at all levels of teacher training. Jane has one son, Andrew and one brother, Rusty who are the other players on this trip. Jane has her B.A. and M.A. Degrees in Elementary Education along with about sixty-six additional hours of graduate study. Over a period of fourteen years she taught the from Kingergarten level up to the sixth grade level. She began her teaching career in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but soon moved to Bossier City where she spent twelve years in three local elementary schools. The last fourteen years Jane has been involved in Staff Development activites. Currently Jane is a Staff Development Specialist with Caddo Parish Schools. Over the years Jane has explored much of the United States always preferring the natural areas protected and preserved through State and National Parks. Backpacking, river rafting, hiking, canoeing, swimming and biking has been favorite past-times on those excursions. Wildlife is always a thrill for Jane to see in its natural habitat. Last year, a highlight for Jane was spending two weeks in Costa Rica traveling with her mother. They were celebrating her mother’s 80th birthday and had a wonderful experience. Jane loves to travel and has a long list of intended destinations. It just appears that she’s starting in the "A’s" and working her way down – down under that is. After several years of exploring Arizona with her son, Andrew, she’s heading on to Australia for this expedition to visit him where he’s been an exchange student for two semesters. The next trip on the list is planned for summer and to Alaska. Perhaps even Andrew will think about joining her for that. This trip will be Jane Wojecki’s first visit to "Aussie Land"…….. the "first" into the southern hemisphere….. the "first" to be gone for seven weeks…..the "first" to have traveled with her brother since they were kids traveling from Louisiana to Florida on a bus to visit Aunt Martha and Uncle Tom. As co-producer and correspondent for the Wojecki-Isler Australian "Adventure of a Lifetime" expedition, Jane will keep the words flowing and write about her appreciation of "down-under." |
