It was truly "The Best of Times" Gala 2003
held May 3rd, on the grounds of the Edison & Ford Winter Estates
in Fort Myers, Florida
when we stepped back to a time when the days moved slower, the lights glowed dimmer,
and the moon was made of green cheese. Ahhh, those were the days...
Gala guests danced the night away with the Alter Ego Band, playing a jazzy blend of familiar old tunes and contemporary hits. They sipped on specialty cocktails like the Ginger Rogers, the Cosmopolitan & timeless Martini, and a Shirley Temple or three! Eddie Russo of Planned Perfection created simple, elegant displays of mums and roses, and Kim Avery of The Main Event prepared a menu of fresh cuisine that was reminiscent of the era, but decidedly nouveau. And when the eve was over, guests traveled by horse & carriage to historic Downtown Fort Myers, to enjoy a complimentary nightcap.
