Billing of Membership Dues

In January, the Lee County Medical Society sends a bill to its physician member.  Included in this bill is an option to include the spouse's membership in the Alliance.  If your Alliance membership is paid through the LCMS invoice, the physician's check can include the Alliance dues, payable to the LCMS.
Periodically, friendly reminders will be included in the
InTouch
monthly Newsletter of the Alliance.

Benefits of Membership

The Alliance is not only a great way to meet people in the medical community, but also to support our community.
The Alliance works to promote health education, encourage involvement in legislative education and support health-related charitable endeavors. A sampling of Alliance benefits includes:

Monthly Meetings
The monthly meetings provide an opportunity to visit with other members and conduct Alliance business in a fun environment.  To accommodate members' schedules, the Alliance has included a variety of day and evening meetings.  Meetings are typically held at surrounding country clubs, homes or places of interest.  Themes have included everything from fashion shows to wine tasting to a tour of the Florida Gulf Coast University.  The Alliance also conducts some joint meetings with the LCMS, giving you a chance to enjoy the meeting with your spouse.
For information on upcoming meetings, check out our
Calendar.

Health-Related Charities
The Alliance conducts several charitable activities throughout the year.  As a member of the Alliance, you have the opportunity to assist in our Mini-Grants programs, which allocates our fund-raised monies for needy organizations in our communityOur largest fund-raising events, be it a glitzy gala event or a relaxing night on the town, have  raised over $1,000,000 to date, all of which has stayed right here in Lee County. Our list of Projects provides more information on charitable activities.  In addition, raffles are held at every meeting.  Raffle prizes typically include beautiful baskets of goodies and gift certificates from local businesses.  Not only are the odds of winning pretty good, but the proceeds go to worthwhile causes.

Monthly Newsletter
As an Alliance member, you will receive our monthly newsletter
InTouch, introducing you to other valuable members of our medical family. The newsletter also provides you with up-to-date legislative information, upcoming social events, ongoing health-related programs, and ways to contribute to our many worthwhile endeavors.
